Artist Skye Bergen captures little moments in time by preserving her favorite bits of nature in clear resin. This rectangular pendant, with the unique addition of Skye’s hand felted sheep wool backing, has within it a teeny Hart’s Tongue fern leaf, reindeer moss (which could be classified as lichen!), and a wee wrinkly freshwater pearl. This pendant includes a handmade silver wire jump ring.

Skye Bergen only understands the world around her by touching it. She works in plants, textiles, fibers, paint, photography, resin, sculpture, music, and sound to make both wearable and non-wearable art. She makes noise and grows things. Skye is obsessed with pearls and lichen. Having discovered the therapeutic powers of gardening a few years ago, Skye decided that her ultimate life goal is to create and build a grief therapy garden in Sacramento for the public, dedicated to those living with mental illness.
