
Large 11"x7"x7"h handcrafted paper mache mask of Day of the Dead face w/monarch butterflies. The mask is made with recycled newspaper, cardboard and glue. It is painted and then covered with flowers & butterflies. The flowers are made with craft paper and shaped into 3-dimensional flowers. Mexican paper mache known as cartoneria are made for decoration for various holidays and festivals. The monarch butterfly is the most common decoration for Dia de los Muertos as it symbolizes the souls of the dead. It also represents resilience, transformation and hope. Display. Not strung for wearing.
