These sculptures are a creative way to add a bit or magic to your ordinary house plant. Each piece is handmade using oven-bake polymer clay. They are each attached to a small metal stake to keep them stuck in the plant.
About the Artist
Spiky Cat is a division of Tenacious Goods by Novella Vandermei, daughter to Heather Hogan. Novella is a student at CK McClatchy High School in the Visual and Performing Arts Program. She invented this toy and selects each piece herself.
Heather makes statement art and unique upcycled goods for tenacious people. Mixing colors, shapes and mediums, Heather’s work is multi-layered. She creates in any medium at hand: paint, ink, oil pens, pencils, collage, assemblage, printmaking, waterslide decals and laser-cut shapes. She is inspired by tenacity, growth, community, and humor.
