Description
Under water sea turtle - orange, blue and turquoise. This painting was created by Edda Davila. Implementing the fat over lean technique of building a painting on several layering of brush strokes, allowing the brush strokes to be loose and prominent. Creating this unfinished abstract loose look on purpose to leave it open for interpretation.
This painting is inspired by the oceans of Hawaii. Watching the turtles swimming on the bottom of the ocean in full tranquility inspires hope and creativity.
Materials
Oil painting, varnish on stretched canvas.
More about the artist
When Edda Davila was little, one of her vivid childhood memories is going inside her grandmother studio. It was this small room full of art supplies and two wooded windows that had a view to her garden, she wanted to be an artist.
Born in the United States and raised in Nicaragua, graduated from Kaiser University- Latin American Campus with a Bachelors in Business Administration with a minor in management.
Life is short and unpredictable, she wanted to set an example and influence others to follow their dreams and the best way is by example. Edda is currently enrolled in a mastery program to become a full time artist at the Milan Art Institute.
The difference you make is contribution by supporting my art. The contribution I hope to leave in the world is beauty and inspiration. I want people to follow their dreams. I want to leave a mark by touching everyone I can, starting by the closest people to me.
