Description

This wall art is mixed media inspired by the video game Cuphead, a 2017 run and gun video game developed and published by Studio MDHR. The game was inspired by the rubber hose style of animation used in cartoons from the golden age of American animation, such as the work of Walt Disney Animation Studios and Fleischer Studios, and sought to emulate their subversive and surrealist qualities.

Cuphead features one or two players taking control of its titular protagonist and his brother Mugman to fight through several levels, that culminate in boss fights, in order to repay their debt to the devil. The game was praised for its art style, gameplay, soundtrack and difficulty. It was both a critical and commercial success, winning several awards and selling over six million copies within three years. An animated series based on the game is in production by Netflix.ideo game character Cuppet from Cuphead video game. This is painted on the glass and on media creating a unique multilayer effect. 22 x 28 framed Acrylic Paint on Canvas & Glass.

More About the Artist

Inspired by Salvador Dali, Regina enjoys painting Surrealism and Cartoon styled paintings in the context of pop culture and the things going on in the world around us.

Painting began and continues to be an outlet for Regina to express her thoughts and feelings visually; in a way that words can not explain.  Her Acrylic paintings are interesting and funny, but offer a very important perspective into the very real things going on in the world around us.
