About the Artist
Erin has lived in Northern California most of her life. Sacramento, specifically, when she was a child and then returning in her mid-twenties. Graduating from University of California, Sacramento with an MS in Sculpture and Installation art enabled her to begin her journey of showing locally. Recently her career has been as a site-specific, large-scale commercial installation art. She creates the art specifically for the space that it will live often utilizing the building itself as part of the artwork. Erin meticulously saves every scrap from every project to eventually use within another piece. Materiality manipulation and transformative imagery are incredibly important to the artist. She often utilizes found and upcycled or repurposed materials to evoke a sense of nostalgia from the viewer.
