Zines (pronounced “zeens”) are like little magazines. They were originally created as an easy way to print and distribute science (fan) fiction starting in the 1930s. Nowadays, you’ll see zines in a variety of formats (typically very small booklets) with diverse content ranging from biographical comics to information on mutual aid structures.

My zines are typically drafted on scrap paper, then finalized digitally and reprinted on eco-friendly printer paper. They cover a chaotic set of topics, such as local foodie recommendations, hyper-specific ecological information, comics about climate futures and capitalist nightmares, fun with friends, identity explorations, the folklore of ancient China, and so on.

You’ll mostly find these zines at Atrium 916, on rare occasions in local little libraries, on even rarer occasions at zine fests, and sometimes in postal letters if you are a close friend or family member :)
