Description
The False Faces series includes Poison Flower Pedal Disaster
It is a 14” x 18” Ink and acrylic on stretched muslin with a flowy, watery flow of blues, pinks, and purples coming together to create an image that appears to be a blurry face with droopy features. The eyes, nose, and mouth of the image appear to be melting, dripping, or moving downward.
More About The Artist
Sacramento area-based artist, Jamie Angello, has been exploring their rediscovered love of painting for the past several years. Originally trained in painting, Jamie took a multi-year break to investigate and enjoy the spatial properties of sculpture and the dimension of time in music.
Jamie’s evolution from painting to sculpture and music and then back again has allowed them to introduce a new love of materiality and process into their paintings.
