This is an original cyanotype which is a form of alternative photography. I have loved hydrangeas since childhood. I grow them in my garden for floral arrangements & for use in my art. The bloom was placed on sensitized paper, sprayed with vinegar water & sprinkled with turmeric then placed in the sun to be exposed. The print was rinsed, dried & cured. The print was mounted on a cradle board measuring 6" x 8" X 7/8" and given a protective coat. This item was created in Sacramento, CA.
