This one of a kind necklace was created using a real garden spider and a star ruby. I’ve used the electroforming method to preserve the spider in a lovely layer of copper. Electroforming is a process of moving copper ions onto your desired piece allowing you to utilize items that wouldn’t be suitable for jewelry. This necklace is set on a beautiful 18 inch chain. This necklace would make the perfect accessory for the Halloween season!
About the Artist: My name is Nicole Brodigan and I am the person behind Stone Goblin Studios. I have been creating art in some form for many years and finally found my preferred medium.
I spent several years traveling and living around the great state of California before settling back down in Sacramento. Now I content myself with my little farm and creating wearable pieces of art.
I love creating jewelry using items I find around the property and flowers from my garden. I am often inspired by the natural world and the beauty that is all around us. All the organic items you see are still inside the copper, preserving their beauty for years to come.
