These bold earrings are created using upcycled vintage butterfly wings and recycled copper. I am unsure of the type of butterfly but these wings yellow color definitely pops! They have been preserved and then a copper bezel has been electroformed onto the edges. These earrings measure 2 1/2 inches including long (including the ear wires) and about 1 1/2 inches wide. Ear wires are made of hypoallergenic niobium.
About the Artist
My name is Nicole Brodigan and I am the person behind Stone Goblin Studios. I have been creating art in some form for many years and finally found my preferred medium.
I spent several years traveling and living around the great state of California before settling back down in Sacramento. Now I content myself with my little farm and creating wearable pieces of art.
I love creating jewelry using items I find around the property and flowers from my garden. I am often inspired by the natural world and the beauty that is all around us. All the organic items you see are still inside the copper, preserving their beauty for years to come.
