Part of Skye’s horticulturally inspired design project called Fjell (Norwegian for mountain), this brass ring base with a burnished copper finish ring holds a quartz crystal that Skye found in an abandoned gold mine in the Sierras, wrapped in a golden silk cocoon. The wrapped crystal lays on a bed of Skye’s hand felted sheep wool. The adjustable ring band makes it easy to wear a bit of earth magic on your hand.

About The Artist
Skye Bergen only understands the world around her by touching it. She works in plants, textiles, fibers, paint, photography, resin, sculpture, music, and sound to make both wearable and non-wearable art. She makes noise and grows things. Skye is obsessed with pearls and lichen. Having discovered the therapeutic powers of gardening a few years ago, Skye decided that her ultimate life goal is to create and build a grief therapy garden in Sacramento for the public, dedicated to those living with mental illness.
