More About the Artist

Susan Twining has a life-long appreciation for art and beauty. Susan’s eye gravitates to the unique. For years Susan has collected paper on her worldwide travels. When her creative energy led her to jewelry making, her two passions combined and now Susan makes beautiful jewelry from paper. Susan’s designs are one-of-a-kind. Susan’s inspiration comes from the Japanese aesthetic, especially the Japanese use of simplicity in design. Susan enjoys creating with Japanese antique and special origami paper. Susan’s choice of using paper in her beautiful handmade jewelry stems from an appreciation of paper's color, texture, durability and her ability to orchestrate the form and shape.
