These hand made porcelain candlesticks are one-of-a-kind. They are about 6.5 inches tall, 4.5 inches wide, and 2 inches deep.  The pieces are glazed with a matte white glaze that adds a softness that encourages touch.  I call my candlesticks "Still Life Candlesticks" because they inspire arrangements that are unique, artful, and worthy of a painting.  Each candlestick will hold a typically sized candle taper.

About the Artist
Susan Twining has been a ceramic artist for 10 years.  She has specialized in creating hand built porcelain pottery.  Porcelain is a special type of clay that doesn't contain grog or texture.  It's often poured into molds due to the challenges of building with the soft body of the clay.  Susan doesn't use any pour molds to make her porcelain items.  Each piece is built slowly, by hand, allowing the clay to accept the shape and weight that each item requires.  Over several years, her art has evolved into more original and lovely styles.  She is inspired by knowing that her creations can become heirlooms for generations to come.
