Ice dye is made by folding or crumpling the fabric, placing a bunch of ice on top of it and then applying powdered fiber reactive dye. The dye is distributed as the ice melts creating a dreamy, mottled look.
These garments are upcycled; given to me through clothing exchange events, thrifted, or purchased. I wash them, dye them, and wash them again.
Fast Fashion is wasteful, thrifting and remaking clothes gives them one more life.
