This premium mask has three layers and a pocket for a filter if so desired. The chin protector is the added bonus on this mask, for a better fit and feel. The chin mold sits comfortably and it has a wired nose bridge for an adjustable fit.

To adjust the fit on the ears move the bead on tricot fabric to fit comfortably

Medium - for most women, teenagers, and men with smaller facial features
Large - for most men or people with large facial features.

Yennie Zhou is a designer in every sense of the word. She has been sewing free masks for hospitals since March.

Yennie brings beauty out of the broken, she is often hired by businesses to make  Marketing Creations. On two separate occasions, she constructed avant-garde dresses out of pastries and packaging for Ettore’s Bakery and Café. For Allure Salon and Spa, she fashioned an evening gown from their tote bags. At the 2016 Hair and Fashion Battle in St. Thomas, USVI, she made several runway dresses from their promotional T-shirts. Yennie also used tote bags to formulate a gown for MyLa’Cor Martinis and their Granite Bay launch party. At the 2013 Creature Show, Yennie manufactured a dress solely from the business cards of producers and sponsors. On several occasions, Joe Gillis, owner of 1 Way Tesla and On The Go towels, has hired Yennie to make Marketing Pieces from his products and packaging.

Yennie uses conventional textiles to make her dresses, too, but one of her favorite quotes provides insight into her zest for challenging herself, “If I can bring one of my designs to life using macaroons or chicken wire, then working with fabric will be a cinch.”

This shopping experience is provided by the nonprofit The Atrium -a Creative Innovation Center for Sustainability, seeking to build a kind, creative and sustainable future for all.  Creatives on this platform are using the funds raised from these masks to buy supplies to make free masks for those on the front lines and those in need. 

Up Kindness, Inc is the 501c3 nonprofit legal arm that houses the Atrium.

The Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC) released updated guidelines on April 3, advising Americans to wear cloth face coverings when out in the community. The guidelines target areas with significant community spread and where social distancing is difficult (like a grocery store). The goal is to minimize the spread from asymptomatic people (who have the COVID-19 illness but show no symptoms) and presymptomatic people (who are infected but aren’t showing symptoms yet).

  1. Use a fabric mask for no more than four hours at a time, then wash in hot water and dry thoroughly before using it again.
  2. Put the mask on (don) after washing hands for 20 seconds with soap and water. 
  3. Wash hands again after removing (doffing) the mask. Do not touch the outside front part of the mask as the area is likely to be contaminated.
  4. You must still practice social distancing and handwashing if you wear a mask. Masks are not absolutely effective and do not allow you to be less vigilant about staying safe!

Cloth masks are not medical-grade N95 respirators. Medical experts believe they may help to prevent an asymptomatic carrier from unknowingly spreading the virus to others. (Sacramento Bee April 2020
